IS A HANDICAP CARD NEEDED TO PLAY GOLF? NO
Any Koh Samui golf course will allow you to play golf without a handicap card, but you are required to follow the basic etiquette of the game and to keep up with the minimum pace of play.
IS THERE A DRESS CODE? YES
Appropriate Mens dress code:
Golf shoes, tailored long pants, smart shorts, socks, short sleeved shirt with collar.
Not Acceptable:
Jogging shorts, gym shorts, denim shorts, football shirts & shorts, mesh shirts, round neck t-shirts, slip on shoes, flip flops, sandals, running/non-golf/open toe shoes.
Appropriate Ladies dress code:
Golf shoes, tailored shorts, pants, slacks, skirts & blouse, short sleeved shirt with collar.
Not Acceptable:
Football shirts & shorts, mini shorts/ skirts. tights, leotards, leggings, jogging shorts, denims, slip on shoes, sandals, flip flops, running/non golf/open toe shoes.
Soft spiked golf shoes are recommended!
WHY IN THAILAND ARE CADDIES NEEDED?
It is a rule & regulation that certain golf courses in Koh Samui each golf player must be accompanied by at least one caddy even though you have a golf cart. Golf carts are normally driven by caddies and they are strictly forbidden to drive on the fairway if wet, they must follow the concrete path. Caddies will assist you on club selection, raking bunkers & filling in divots.
MAY I TAKE MORE THAN ONE CADDY?

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM MY CADDY?
Communication will vary, some will be more advanced in English language.Some will have basic English skills. Please have patience they are only here to assist you with basic yardages, let you know where the hazards are located, to indicate on how the putts will break. Most importantly your caddie should be polite & friendly. The caddie will drive the golf cart, rake bunkers, fill divots, fix ball marks, clean clubs and mark your ball if you wish.
CAN I CHOOSE A SPECIFIC CADDY? NO
Caddies in Koh Samui normally work on rotation.
HOW MUCH DO I TIP MY CADDY?
In Thailand the minimum tip is 400 – 500 for 18 holes.
ISN’T THE CADDY FEE PAID TO THE GOLF COURSE PART OF THE TIP? NO
The caddy does not receive all of the caddy fee paid to the golf course. It is customary to tip the caddy after playing your round of golf.
DO I NEED SPIKES?
Spikes are not compulsory, but advised for grip, Soft spikes are preferred in Ko Samui.
CAN WE SHARE GOLF BAGS WHILE PLAYING? NO
Sharing golf bags is not allowed, this is to avoid slow play. This is a rule & regulation in Ko Samui.
CAN I RENT GOLF CLUBS? YES
Every golf club in Koh Samui & Rajjaprabha (Mainland) will provide you with rental sets from 700 – 2000 for 18 holes. However some golf courses will have a limited choice. For serious golfers we recommend you bring your own set. Although at SamuiGolf Holidays we can provide a selection of rental sets if available.
DO ALL COURSES IN SAMUI HAVE GOLF CARTS?
Golf carts are available at Santiburi Golf & Country club, Royal Samui Country Club & Rajjaprabha Golf Club,(mainland course).
WHICH GOLF COURSES IN KOH SAMUI IS IT COMPULSORY TO USE A CART?
Santiburi golf course is compulsory to use a cart. (18 holes 750). Using a golf cart is highly recommended at Royal Samui.
DO ALL COURSES IN SAMUI HAVE GOLF CADDIES?
Caddy’s are compulsory at Santiburi golf & Country club. Rajjaprabha Golf Club ( mainland course) caddies are available. (No Caddies at Royal Samui).
CAN I PLAY AS A TWOSOME OR A SINGLE?
You can as long as the course is not to busy. However you must follow the direction of the starter on the tee as to whether it would be advisable to join up. A single player or twosome must appreciate the slower pace especially if there are several 4 balls ahead of them. Every golf course strictly reserves the right to pair any single or twosome on the same flight.
DO YOU ALLOW A 5 BALL TO PLAY TOGETHER?
Most golf courses only allow international standard of 4-balls to play. However most golf courses will make exceptions if it’s not to busy.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR YOU TO CONFIRM MY TEE TIMES OR HOLIDAY PACKAGES ONCE I HAVE SUBMITTED MY BOOKING/ENQUIRY FORM ?
Your golf inquiry will normally be confirmed within 1-24 hours. If you have made a last minute booking or same-day due to time zones, please call our reservation hotline on 0898742735.
CAN I RESERVE A TEE TIME DIRECTLY THROUGH THE GOLF COURSE?
The special rates listed are only available when booking through our website. If booking directly to the golf course they may charge you a higher green fee rate.
CAN I ARRANGE AIRPORT PICKUP OR ANY OTHER SERVICE WITHIN SAMUI? YES
YES, We are also able to organise airport transfer. We can provide you with any type of vehicle to suit the size of your group.
WHY ARE YOU ABLE TO OFFER LOWER GREEN FEE RATES THAN THE GOLF COURSE?
We are able to offer lower rates because as a Samui golf booking agency we can negotiate lower rates for our customers.
COULD YOU EXPLAIN IN MORE DETAIL YOUR PACKAGE RATE?
Our package rates are designed to save money, save time & ensure that your golfing holiday is is a relaxed one. We will pick you up from you hotel or villa and transfer you to the golf course. You will be escorted to to the pro-shop, locker room and on to the 1st tee. Our driver will be ready to deliver you back to the hotel safely when you are ready.
WHAT DOES THE GOLF / GREEN FEE / TRANSFER ONLY IN KOH SAMUI INCLUDE?
(No Deposit is Required)
(Package A) Includes Green fee, golf cart & caddy.
(Package B) Includes Green fee, golf cart, caddy & r/t transfer.
(Package C) Includes Green fee, golf cart, caddy, r/t transfer & golf rental set.
*Special note* The package does not include shoes, umbrella, driving range fee, gloves, and golf balls. It does not include the caddy tip. It is customary to tip caddies in Thailand after the game minimum 400 +. For Santiburi Golf Country Club golf cart rental is compulsory. 1 golf cart for per person at Santiburi Golf Club. Package rate do not include domestic flights to Koh Samui.
ARE ALL TAXES INCLUDED?
Yes all taxes and service charges are included.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST BY AIR FROM SURATTHANI TO BANGKOK?
Approx 2500 per person including all taxes. This cost can be reduced considerably if booked several months in advance.
HOW MUCH IS TRANSPORTATION COST FROM RAJJAPRABHA GOLF CLUB TO SURATTHANI AIRPORT?
The cost per Mini van would be approx 3000 (Includes Fuel).
IF WE BOOK THE DISCOUNT GREEN FEE WITHOUT ARRANGED TRANSFER WHEN ARE WE REQUIRED TO PAY ?

If you decide to book your Santiburi Samui Country Club & Royal Samui green fee only without advance payment we will arrange tee times with the golf course, email confirmation and meet you at the course at an arranged time on your playing date so that you receive maximum discount. You can freely choose to make a payment separate for each day or pay for all golf rounds together. You are able to book this tour without paying a deposit, but we will need confirmation of accomodation, booked under which name?, arrival & departure dates.
ARE WE REQUIRED TO PAY A BOOKING FEE, CREDIT CARD FEE OR DEPOSIT FOR CONFIRMING GOLF RESERVATIONS?
No booking fee, deposit or credit card fee required for confirming tee times in Koh samui.
WHEN ARE WE REQUIRED TO PAY FOR (VILLA ACCOMMODATION)?
Once your booking has been confirmed we will send you an invoice with a link to our online payment system or our Bank Details for payment by bank transfer.
A deposit of 50% of the total amount is required once your booking has been confirmed.
The outstanding balance of 50% is required 45 days before your arrival payable by Visa Credit Card or Bank Transfer.
Once the total payment is received confirmation of Villa Accommodation payment will be issued along with a detailed itinerary of your golf package holiday.
Note:
Villa’s are priced in US Dollars.
A villa service charge of 10%, 7 % tax & 4 % a credit card charge or 4.75% American Express charge will be added to the total villa price.

We accept any Visa credit card (4% surcharge & American Express 4.75% surcharge).
HOW CAN I BE ASSURED THAT MY PERSONAL DATA IS SECURE?
